A lot that you will not like ! IT teams are living their fools paradise unaware of the growth markets. Everywhere you will see manipulation. I was lured by the pay but be cautious … If you are joining Bangalore office, just run away.

Flexibility in work from home.

1. Salary hike 2% to 3% is their standard. 2. Equinix show disparity between contract and permanent staff even during COVID. Permanent people are called as staff, contractors are called as workers by Equinix. 3. No job security. Suddenly they introduce some rubbish rules and say goodbye. 4. Equinix hides layoffs from outside world. 5. No promotions for contractual workers 6. No skill development opportunity for contractors. 7. Permanent staff don't even respond to contract workers' official mail. 8. Equinix keeps most of the workers in contract, and minimum permanent staff.

Dislikes

This is hire and fire company. Be careful if you are joining IT team in Bangalore. The manager will call you 10 times before you join, just to make sure you are trapped properly and the same manager will isolate you if you turn out to be smarter than others and that is pretty obvious. So they basically need people without smartness and YES BOSS type. IT team is basically a team of googlers. If you take away access of google or the ppts shared by vendor companies, entire IT team will be blank. No trainings, no upskilling for years and consequently these people have become good for nothing. They just show off, steal others credit, do melodrama and praise their boss to survive.

Opportunity to learn explore and implement the learnings. The company gives a lot of scope for new talent to experiment. Values diversity and inclusive work environment. Great efforts by onboarding nuerodiverse employees.

Dislikes

Negative workplace culture. Outdated work policies - being a global company which demands to work in cross time zones insisting on work from office to squeeze the most productivity of an employee (9-6 office and after 6 meetings with team members outside the residing country). Offering of benefits and perks that are easy on the company’s budget. Lack of retainment activities or exit interviews. Unrealistic expectations of 8 hours non stop work.

Job security. Kindly consider this organization as the last option. Management is pathetic. Be ready to be laid off any moment depending the mood of management at that time. Filthy work culture.
