I was getting 15.2 LPA in my previous org and now i am being offered 29.5 LPA but the designation is 1 position lower than what i was in my previous org. Should i go ahead with the offer or still negotiate on designation. Protip : i was laid off in my previous org.

There is job security as this is a government institution. There is opportunities to further your education as you can take a course at the University where tuition fee is paid by the University. Work-life balance is great.

The career growth and promotions are too slow, you may have the experience and qualifications needed for promotion but it takes too long to be promoted.

Egerton is a very good place with adequate team spirit where you don't have to worry about your job security as your career grows. Furthermore, the appraisals are good and despite a little local politicking on leadership its okay since it has a very condusive environment blended by balanced work life. It is a place to be.
