New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Misogynistic environment, at one point of time had no funds to even pay employee salaries, and this was after COVID. CEO was selfish, a liar and didn't care about anyone other than himself. The rest of the senior leadership team wasn't too far from that.

...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Brewing team at the leadership of Rishi sasane and Manu misra, was performing incredible. People know what they are doing. Producing beer is not only there task, we used to participate in promotions and sales as well.

Very low pay scale. Instead of giving hike to rightful candidate they prefer to hire less experience candidate and get work done untill they don't ask for hike. There is no work life balance. Even though I was hired for 1lpcation as a brewery intern. Due to work related I had to travel multiple cities, with no work appreciation.

One of the best companies I've worked with. Everything is absolutely transparent and straightforward. Lots of scope for learning and self development, since Effingut is a chain of restaurants, it takes time to get anything approved. The MDs / Owners are very supportive when it comes to new recipes or floating new ideas for the betterment of the organization.
