New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

job security is risky all the time they will always think how to lock the employee if he is neccessary , at this covid-19 situation there is 25% cut off in salaries , no pf , no life insurance , no form 16 , there are a lot of disadvantages , management is so poor they don't even know the project architecture and its waste of time to talk about company policies

Very small company with an average of 20 members. Flexible at work hours. No micro management. Good location. Work from home facility. No heavy management. Good for freshers and mid level expertise people. Technologies: PHP, NodeJS, AWS, Dot Net, React JS, Testing

Dislikes

No Protocols, no rules. Limited projects. Complete and go policy in some situations. Less scope to grow. Looks like a benefit of flexibility and no micro management, opportunity should be taken on our own. No employee benefits like PF, Medical insurance....
