New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Its a good company overall culture and teammate are good. Company is trying create some good learning programs that helps to build capability. I love the fact that i am a part of DIAGEO.

Dislikes

One thing that I am not satisfy with my salary DIAGEO is a MNC company but they are not paid me well. Compensation is not good and not that much guide is provided for some mewe work or project. And the line manger behavior is not good and he is directly threading like anything.

In DIAGEO, the salary is good as compared to any other alco Breverage company. But the work life and personal life balance is very poor. There is more than 16 hours of work in a day. And in month ends it becomes 22/23 hours too in some days.

Your job is not stable. In the last few years, there were too many reorganization done in DBSI. The top leaders who were working 2-3 years ago have been asked to move out. Do not join if you are looking for a long term career option
