Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

BOSSES are very good, polite and respectful. Company work culture is good. Company takes care of the employees. Work is easy. Mostly residential projects. Small firm. Celebrations and parties keep happening.

Dislikes

They put us on unpaid leave during 2nd lockdown.

I learned new skills there. They adopt new technologies.

Dislikes

The work pressure is very high. I have to work 10 to 12 hrs a day. There is no job training for the freshers so we seniors have to handle them as well with the work pressure.
