GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

Working at Data Dynamics was both rewarding and challenging . I joined as a software Engineer and was quickly immersed in largescale data platform project. One of the best parts was the freedom to experiment and contribution ideas, even as a mid level developer. The team is technically sharp and open to collaboration . I never felt like "just another coder." I worked on modules related to metadata extraction , strong migration , and performance tuning, and even got to contribution to internal AI POCs which was really exciting. The work culture is quite focused , with minimal micromanagement. My manager trusted me to own my work and solve problems independently, which helped me grow both technically and personally Also, a shout-out to the women in tech culture here , it's not perfect ,but I did feel heard and respected, which is not always the case in core engineering environment .

Work-life balance can be inconsistent. During release sprints or client escalation, we did have late night and weekend work. There were also moments where product expectations changed rapidly and as developers, we had to rework things without much notice. Also, while the technical exposure is great , the career path structure could be more defined, especially for engineers who want to move toward product or leadership roles.

What stands out is the trust leadership places in analysts-you're not just crunching number; you're helping shape product and business strategy. I got the opportunity to wo0rk closely with cross-functional teams, especially product and engineering, witch sharpened both my technical and domain skills. There's a strong emphasis on ownership, innovation, and continuous learning. I was encouraged to explore advanced anaclastic, BI tools (like power BI, tableau), and python-based automation for reporting. the projects are global in nature-especially in storage optimization and cloud data migration -so the scope and scale of learning is tremendous . team bonding and transparency are also big plus points . the Pune office fosters a flat hierarchy ,and senior leadership is approachable ,especially when you bring data-driving insight to the table .

Some legacy tools in place that slow slow down newer projects -modernization is still ongoing . training program could be more structured for mid-senior roles.

As a DevOps engineer, I've had the opportunity to work on cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization with docker and Kubernetes, and automation using terraform and Ansible. The company encourages technical ownership, and we get to work on scalable platforms that have a real-world enterprise impact -- especially in data management, archiving, and storage optimization for Fortune 500 clients. The learning curve is steep, but in a good way. the leadership is a approachable, and my manager trusts the team to deliver without micromanaging. Also, the U.S.-India collaboration model helps us understand enterprise-grade delivery standards.

Limited visibility into long-term project roadmaps sometimes affects clarity on our future technical direction. More focus can be given to structed L&D programs or certifications for DevOps and cloud professionals.

Some documentation gaps when joining new projects, buy improving internal tooling could be further streamlined for efficiency Advice to Management: keep pushing the DevOps -first mindset across teams. it really makes a difference when developers and operations work as one unit. Also, maybe invest more in platform engineering practices _ the foundation is already
