New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

The company is an Italian Shipping giant having over 50 large sized Crude Oil and Chemical tanker ships trading world. The country head office being at Mumbai and branches in Delhi and Kolkata (now closed down). The company mainly deals with ships' placements for the company's vessels. We had a cosmopolitan staff members who were co-operative.However, during pandemic period the company's offices were inoperative for quite sometime resulting financial crunch. As such, the management decided to close down the Kolkata branch from 01/11/2020. We staff members lost our jobs.

Its been 23 years and its a waste working with a company who only want officers not interested in Ratings...please dont dont join this company.....time will tell this company...i can see the end ..cause its a long journey from Vships to Naaz marine..to mr sudeep shome nobody is successful..wait and watch....this owner will learn his lesson by his own attitude...not like his father or Uncle who were polite kind hearted buisnessman

Why I have been refused by damico. I asked for signoff but I didnot force anyone. Neither I did anything wrong to the company. I was with your company since last 12 years. But, during covid, due to huge extension of contract, I just repeatedly asked for signoff, but I didnot do anything mischievous. And now I was told no job for you in damico.
