Hi folks I'm a FULL Stack SDE with 6 yoe (java spring , angular Kafka microservices stacks). I want to know what all should I prepare for in order to get into the big tech companies like MAANG , Salesforce , etc. I'm currently working with CITI for the past 2 years. Please help me with the preparation strategy in terms of what all should I start preparing (subjects topics etc. and how to grab opportunities(don't have referrals , would rely on LinkedIn so far). I'm planning to start giving interviews by March 2025. TIA

from last 2 year there is lots of politics overall citi uses very old tech. If you wanna bring anything new there are lots of obstacles and politics. Promotion halted, layoff happening. We have senior developers who can't open vim or work with basic python. So overall everything from work to culture to tech to the job satisfaction is going downhill very fast. As soon as market opens, attrition rate would be really high and the good employers would be first to leave.

Even if we work for more than 12 hours per day, they will still demand more. People who are their favorites are given preferential treatment, and no skill sets are considered when giving them promotions and appraisals. There is no work life balance Weekends are also screwed as you are expected to be available to work whenever manager calls
