Still, not yet time to comment about Appraisal as i joined recently, but for me as a senior, it doesn't make much difference as the perspectives change after a certain years of experience :)

Extremely manager driven culture. You have a Godmother or Godfather, your career is made. However, if you don't, then it is all based on the rapport you strike with your stakeholders. No clarity of career paths and goals for most roles. Growth is limited. No clear defined processes on performance and appraisals. Most important at this stage, job security is a question mark. Leadership changes with too much ambiguity on future path.
