Depends upon project and business unit. For me , here in DataCycle360 and Wealth360, work is excellent means, you will get more and more work if you are able to do quickly so, learning opportunity is excellent, technologies is also decent as per industry, but if i think independently and don't compare with other company then carriers growth (salary) in terms of appraisal is not good.

Dislikes

Appraisal, salary growth within CGI, Hybrid mode of working, WFO, In terms of quality and quantities work delivered - More work is there based on current 9LPA CTC of promoted SSE atleast for me, by comparing with external hired SSE which takes 19LPA. So, Switching to other company is good rather than getting Promoted within CGI.

Definately a great place to work if you are less ambitious about financial growth. Almost zero micro management. Perfect place for experienced people to get settled or for longer run.

Dislikes

Not at all recommended for freshers. Very less salary hike and confusing apraisal cycle. Unnecessary hierarchy and complex organisation structure. Full off useless managers only drawing huge amount of salary just by talking in calls 2-3 hours everyday. IJP & internal trainings are all showoff. No use at all.

Good work life balance, Decent package with company shares allotment. Overall feels satisfactory.

Dislikes

My immediate reporting manager tried to extend my notice period without my awareness, just because of client request. Later escalated this to HR and sorted. Not sure about other projects, in my project - Hike and Promotion is not based on performance or fullfilling our goal setting.

Very employee friendly company. Company financials and reputation in North America is very good. No dearth for projects. Moving from one BU to another is easy. Very flexible culture when other IT companies are forcing and threatening employees to return to office, CGI is requesting members to come to office atleast once a week. Senior management is very approachable and open to ideas.

Dislikes

Salary is lesser compared to market standards. But it is ok while considering the flexible work culture and job security. My 6th year in the company and I still love going to work everyday.
