Good work life balance and security.

Dislikes

Poor increments, average salary and delayed promotions owning to internal budget issues. Out here South Indians hold all key positions and are preferred over other zone employees for opportunities, increments and promotions. Laterals hired recently are getting paid more salary then long term loyal employees owning to dissatisfaction and frustration at work. It has been observed even laterals overall package have been normalized in each cycle making them earn less than market value.

The company has good employee policies. The job is pretty secure so you can relax and work. Good investment and Esops options.

Dislikes

...e pathetic and they want you to beg them for even a substantial hike. The salary review team is disconnected from the ground reality. DO NOT JOIN IF YOU ARE A MANAGEMENT GRADUATE

Work life balance is good for people who desperately need it

Dislikes

The worst here is compensation.. especially the distribution of compensation. There are examples of people not working at all and are receiving higher compensations for consecutive years in comparison to people who actually are talented and work hard. That's the reason all the good people either leave the company or get frustrated and start under-performing. Money is a big motivator for people especially living in Bangalore. And few people just get lucky to be picked for projects that pays well for minimal work. On the other side people getting selected for projects that actually requires hard work and brain are hardly paid. Also no onsite opportunities.

Depends upon project and business unit. For me , here in DataCycle360 and Wealth360, work is excellent means, you will get more and more work if you are able to do quickly so, learning opportunity is excellent, technologies is also decent as per industry, but if i think independently and don't compare with other company then carriers growth (salary) in terms of appraisal is not good.

Dislikes

Appraisal, salary growth within CGI, Hybrid mode of working, WFO, In terms of quality and quantities work delivered - More work is there based on current 9LPA CTC of promoted SSE atleast for me, by comparing with external hired SSE which takes 19LPA. So, Switching to other company is good rather than getting Promoted within CGI.

Definately a great place to work if you are less ambitious about financial growth. Almost zero micro management. Perfect place for experienced people to get settled or for longer run.

Dislikes

Not at all recommended for freshers. Very less salary hike and confusing apraisal cycle. Unnecessary hierarchy and complex organisation structure. Full off useless managers only drawing huge amount of salary just by talking in calls 2-3 hours everyday. IJP & internal trainings are all showoff. No use at all.
