Salary - sufficient and respectable Appraisal- No Travel - daily travel by train and share auto is tedious and tiresome Politics - influence is there among many staff. Learning - cannot learn apart from routine work. Work environment - excellent Innovation - nil Work life balance - stressful

Revenue is the best part of Central Government. I was working in Ministry of Finance, Deptt. of Revenue in DGIT (Admn.) of Directorate of Income Tax from Decrmber 1971 to January, 2012 as Senior Personal/Pvt. Secretary working with very senior Chief Commussioner of Income-tax attached to Central Board of Direct Taxes, Ministry of Finance, Deptt. of Revenue, New Delhi and solved many problems in the Deptt. and also learning, work environment, innovation, work-life balance, etc. & received many awards from Senior IRS officers.

I like most is that its gives an opportunity to examine problems existing in different parts of the country and thereby to work out solutions for a wider gentry.
