Nothing much to like except they won't fire you.

Dislikes

They won't fire you but may stop paying salary, doesn't pay salary on time, doesn't give bonus or increment, no promotion. Best for those who are retired employee and now thinking to pass time or those who are looking to start career for a career growth prospects the company is not par.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
