Salary is good for those who has background from IIT. Obviously you cant compare the college salary with industry salary, but it is better than other colleges in odisha.

Dislikes

Leave rule is very bad. You cant take leave 3 concecutive CL. No medical insurence, PF and other benifits till now. Work environment is not like IIT and NIT. If you get NIT which has higher NIRF than CGU, you should join that NIT. NIT is NIT. CGU has good NIRF rank but it will not give you that much good working environment.

This university is giving impetus to skill development,so it's good for students

This university does not think about the progress of salary of professor,same salary you will get after 10 years,and heavy work pressure is there

University Management is very bad. There are no proper systems in place. Teaching faculties are forced to do clerical jobs also—no salary increment. Salary is not credited on a fixed date, in some months it will be at the beginning of the month and next month there is no sign of compensation till the 25th. With time workload keeps increasing without any increment in salary.

Late salary... No compensation for publication... No encouragement for research...management and faculty relationship to be improved... No providrnt fund or any other benefit

Skill culture is good here related to training, evaluation.

Dislikes

no increment , no appreciation of good work, excessive work load, no system of salary structure for experienced faculty, the work culture is becoming toxic day by day.
