If you are Permanent employee in Burns McDonnell then it's really great place to work. But for Contact employee there are certain policies which are not very attractive. And for contact employee you don't have a job security which is the same case everywhere.

Working on a contract basis. For contact employee they don't give any leaves, they put loss of pay even on government holiday.

... your time value gets decreased. Your experience became irrelevant to industry. They offered much less salary than what industry is offering.

...hop visits. Appraisal procedure is very opaque. No recognition for hard work. Lower salary than the market.

...gement is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

If you are a draftsman or want to become one, this place might seem okay at first. But the department head comes from an Oil & Gas background, so they won’t really understand your problems. Whatever you say will likely be dismissed in a smart but unhelpful way. The head seems insecure and acts like a "loyal soldier" of Burns & McDonnell India. For engineers, this is not a good place. You won’t learn much technically, and you might end up wondering if this job is about growth or just filling up your resume. Don't be in the greed of pakage for ruining your career.

Don’t join just for the package, especially if you’re an engineer. Here, draftsmen and engineers are treated the same, and the environment is full of unhelpful people. There’s no peer learning, and you won’t grow technically. The Department Manager is average—not bad, but not someone worth talking to much. There’s a lot of useless chatter, but nothing productive. Think twice before joining, or you’ll regret it later! Conference room m meetings bht krte hai, faltu ka meetings, time waste h yrrrr...... Office se bhi kaam kro, ghar jakr bhi kro, or stretch krte rho kaam bs yahi h. Bridge , Highway and Railway ( Don't Join these departments of Burns & Mac India )
