I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Very bad company. They don't care about people. They said first work life then personal life. They don't care if you sick. To be honest very bad company please don't join. They hire as Marketing executive and then they use you as delivery person. No growth.

The company has high ambitions.

Dislikes

The company is a home owned business and is still run like one. Even though the ambitions reach as high as going for an IPO. You would still feel like a worker in a factory setup who has to obey to owner's whims and commands. On surface, they're quite friendly but in terms of expectations for delivery of work, they'd expect growth that a growing business would see in 1-1.5 years in a period of 2 months. If you're not able to deliver on it, you'll be fired without notice.
