...or me there was absolutely no growth. Had a very bad manager who did not listen. Salary is below average. There is many opportunities for learning and development however in my position I was not encouraged and when trainings came sometimes I had to skip due to no coverage and urgent matters. My appraisals were always a joke to my manager and the last one he said sorry I am a bad manager. The company does offer mobility. Just depends on the department, management and support of your superiors.

Dislikes

My manager was not my direct report which was a very strange set up. So my boss was one person and manager another thus making it very difficult as often their requests were contradictory. Made my job a lot more difficult. Definitely some discrimination in some of the bank if you are not French. Again all depends on what position and what department.

Likes

Job culture is good. It helps in overall development of your personality. You get a lot of opportunities to enroll for activities on the floor. Lead for different projects.

Dislikes

Poor salary. Like other MNC bank. Minimal increments and bonus. Low exposures. Since it's a big bank, everybody know their part of work. You can't get 100% for your work.

Likes

BNP Paribas carries good brand legacy to begin with. Adequate job security once you gets permanent. Since its an European bank, it has policy of announcing bonus every year, which is roughly 10-15% of yearly CTC.

Dislikes

Promotions are dry, having no impact on compensation. Rigid culture of "Do As I Say".

Likes

For freshers they provide excellent training programs and good package as well. Work culture is also friendly.

Dislikes

Not much happy with the promotion cycle as well as work satisfaction. Not much growth in the sense of levelling up to higher position.

They will put you in PIP when cost cutting will happen. There is no job security here. Also once you leave the company, you cannot join any other Bank or Bank supporting company like SBI or TCS or TechM due to their Non-poaching agreement for 1 year. No individual employee benefits. You can not talk to HR directly. They sit in secret room.
