Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

One of the oldest Engineering Institute in independent India established by Govt. of Bihar in 1949. It is providing consistently quality engineering education producing a huge number of entrepreneurs and qualified professionals. It maintains a good academic ambiance and equal opportunity for all.

The Institute deserves autonomy but not yet granted.
