New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

There is nothing to like.

Dislikes

Rather than focusing on main problem, management is doing micro management. They use abusive language. They can fire any employee without prior notice. So no job security is there. Only 5 holidays are there in 1 year. They had introduced mobile ban policy in the office. They banned mobile of office staff at office. But later they allowed mobile to some employees as per MD's preference. Which was totally biased. Its 2023 and they are living in the mentally of 2008. They give warning letters for some small things too. Even for bringing mobile in the company. If any of your family members has been admitted in the hospital then also management not allowed you your mobile for temporary time. Management always brings new policies to harass the employees. Please don't join this company.

Dislikes

It depends on individual person, I did not find any dislike for BFN as a single entity. Not a dislike but my work satisfaction decreased after 5 years working there.
