1. Work life balance mostly sucks People normalise working very very long hours here. People need to learn that life exists outside of office work as well. Request to Management - Please ensure a good work life balance at BCGX, all other initiatives are good and appreciated but please make the life easy by not normalising extended work hours.

Working with BCG is an exceptional experience; we get to meet and collaborate with colleagues from various spectrums, overall creating a very healthy and positive working environment. You are given loads of opportunities to hone your skillsets and work on needs improvement pointers.

Dislikes

Not so competitive salary structure. Appraisals are generic to entire team and not to your individual performance. Equal opportunities for growth is limited to only experienced members of the team.

Just the salary package, only if you want to earn enough for one year because management will not let you stay there more than that

Finance leadership team especially one managing Travel and Expense process are not trustworthy I made a mistake and joined this team without doing my due diligence on the culture of team. It’s available on ambition box

Less hikes to internal employees. They benchmark you down if they hire you on a higher package. Otherwise people who are paid less are given excuses like benchmarking cannot happen before two years and it cannot happen after promotion etc. For promotion you get same excuses. Official limit is 18 months but manager say that before three years its like asking a favour. They tell you from day one that bcg will not retain an employee and they let go such people who have better offer. The day you resgn everything changes all rules out of the window. They say that they support IJP but will not allow you to go for it before 18 months on your current role. At that time yoj also become elogible for promotion so if you apply for IJP manager outright threatens that you will not be considered for promotion in the team so now its either cracking an IJP or stay at same position.
