I work as branch manager in brkgb bank and I tell you the truth, Life of manager in a bank is hell. On the outside, it might look like an office job but the amount of presure he's undergoing almost everyday is unfathomable. First come targets from Regional office to open 50 accounts or sometimes even 100 in a very limited time space. So manager will alert all the staff to find new customers, sometimes we even go out in the streets asking people to open account in our bank like beggars. After few days, the regional office will give us another deadline to make more advanced in loan, car loan, house loan, mudra lao, personal loan.. Etc etc.. While still working on those targets, he will get targets to open those pathetic government scheme like APY, PMSBY, PMJJY.. And we have to literally beg the customers to joins Those stupid schemes, while we ourselves doesn't like any of those schemes. Then few days later, the regional office will call manager and ask him why CASA is going down? Why CASA figure is below the next figure? Why are you doing nothing and sitting in the branch? So, we used to go out to big departments and institutions to deposits money in our bank.. Before even fading the trauma of the previous target, we will get another target from regional office to search customers for Life Insurance: the worst policy of all. Nowadays almost everyone has life insurance, so finding a customer is like finding needle in a hay. On recovery day, we are forced to go to customers place and ask to repay their loan as most of them won't pick the calls. Most of the time, those NPA people will not even open their house Or send someone on the door to tell us they're not at home. On top of all these, some unsatisfied customers will sometimes walk in and shout at the manager for being pity things like deduction of some money from their account, or extra charges on loan account and threatened to take us to court. There is absolutely no peace of mind. People who are continuing with banking job is because they don't have any other options. So if you're still young and want a life, better get government job.

Total lovely working culture ,astounding team work with management. Friendly competition all branches giving their best finally management acknowledging their efforts .

Specified n professional support to manager with the help of various teams like independent recovery team ,advance team giving more freedom n flexible liberty to Branch head for business development

Likes

Being a government public sector bank job is secured. You will be transferred inside the state only. Multiple functions you will attend and feel special. You will a government job tag.

Dislikes

The lack of good infrastructure. Upper management is from bank of baroda and they are rude. Work pressure is increasing day by day. Understaffed.

Nothing special to like about. During Covid-19 there were no support at all.

During the situations like demonetization, Jan dhan account opening and recent pandemic situation there were no proper arrangements from management
