This place is a heaven for creative minds because the only thing makes this place bearable is the freedom of creativity that you get to enjoy. You can learn and teach anything you desire. You also get a generous one day of casual leave every month, which is a rare luxury in this college.

Where to start, So, if you are ready to join BSD, here is a checklist for you: 1. Survival of the fittest - This college is a perfect fit for you if you are a super smart person who lives and breathes BSD. You have to be a 100% workaholic who never gets tired or bored. 2. Holidays are a luxury - You may or may not get a leave on festivals or government holidays, depending on the founder’s mood. He doesn’t care about your plans or feelings. So, if you are from outside Bangalore and want to visit your family on festivals, you can forget about it. 3. Rules are fluid - There are no fixed rules here, they change according to the situation and convenience. You have to adapt to the whims and fancies of the management. 4. Festivals are brief - You only get one day off for most festivals, and if you try to extend your leave or if you plan to take leaves before or after the festival then it’s considered as consequent days of loss of pay including Sunday. It may sound insane, but that’s how it is. 5. Faculty turnover is high - The faculty turnover is high here. You will soon realize how they manipulate, exploit and play games with you. 6. They love fresh blood - They are always looking for new and energetic employees, and they will squeeze out every ounce of your potential. 7. They offer creative freedom - They will let you do whatever you want, and they will praise you if you do something good, so that you will work harder and harder. But don’t expect anything in return. You are here to give knowledge, not to receive anything. 8. Appraisal is a myth - Don’t bother about appraisal, even if you work hard and add value to the college, the appraisal is very low and rare. 9. If I want to say one line about the management - The management is profit-oriented, frugal and self-interested. They control five subordinates and make them dance to their tunes. They only care about minimum investment and maximum output. There is no give and take, they only take. 10. There are no benefits - There is NO life insurance/NO pf/NO proper guidelines/NO faculty handbook/NO appraisal/NO semester holidays/NO maternity & paternity leave/NO sick leave/NO bonus or anything else that a decent employer would provide. Even if they have something on paper, they won’t follow it. All you have to do is WORK WORK WORK. You have to sacrifice everything and come here to work. Dear Management, You are doing a splendid job of ruining this college. Please continue to oppress the happiness of your employees by making them work for you like workers. Appraisal is a forbidden word here. They don’t deserve any life or freedom of their own. This is an excellent work culture that requires people to work all the time, even on festivals and holidays. PLEASE DON’T STOP. You will definitely get what you deserve one day.
