New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. The environment was good enough. Student in my block ware very good and always use to listen what I use to guide them. Even the senior management ware very supportive. That was the reason I worked with my seniority and did my best to serve the instructions.

The job security is not there in the instructions. Though I worked very hard and did my best. No students and no management ever complained on my work. Even I took very less leave and salary was also average but when I was not in the city and could not reach the instruction on the day instruction called me. The very next week management asked me to Regine. Now I don't have any source of income and I don't know how will I look after my family. As now I have turned 56 I won't get any other job to survive.
