No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Nothing to like in this company. Beware dear candidates who are looking to join this company.

Dislikes

1. Micormanaging is highly practiced. You have to listen to whoever holding a title of a position higher than you. Department doesn't matter. 2. Negative and Toxic Culture. Disregard of the position, the CEO scolds everyone in utter filth. Be that happens infront of your subordinates. 4. You will have to work on saturdays, Sundays, Poyadays, and any other days. You can't take a leave for an emergency. NO WORK-LIFE BALANCE at all. 5. If they din't like you leaving, They give negative feedbacks on you to your next employer.

Everything in the company sound to be bad. CEO scolding staff in utter filthy words, CEOs family who are not workers of the company are scolding the staff. High politics within the company. No increments on the fix salaries for all staff for 6 years. Company is at a bankruptcy but thanks to the Indian mother company funding to keep it as a piggybacking company for mother company’s tax purpose. Sending off staff by creating issues on instructions from the lawyer lawyer mother of company CEO, as she and her elder son and daughter are legal consultants of the company.
