New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

the work life balance and nobody is unnecessarily fixated with clockins and clockouts, entire management is chill and is focused about results.

Some senior team members claim to have a growth plan for the team, but they wouldn't hesitate to abandon anyone if revenue drops even for a month. The constant fear of layoff looms, as the organisation is overly focused on short-term profits.

- Good Codebase. - Excellent leadership in tech, from team-leads to the tech lead. - unlimited PTO (so long as work is managed, otherwise this will affect your appraisal) - Skills and achievements are recognized and highlighted. - Direct and to the point communication from leadership. - Monthly meet where senior leadership discuss future plans for the company (All Hands) - Fully Remote - Team outings (paid for tickets and stay and some food) to fun places. (Goa, Udaipur, etc) - NO OFFICE POLITICS

Odd Saturdays are working. May be expected to work after hours to comply with deadlines. Strict guidelines for standup calls, presence in meetings, etc.
