New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

I wish there was any thing to like about Anakin. They are running a scam, they hire for their interest and then fire employees.

Dislikes

... you plan to join this company: Are you ready to work under toxic work culture? Are you ready to put extra hours in work without recognition or extra compensation and that too almost daily? (10AM - 10PM or if you are lucky maybe more?) Finally are you ready to be threatened to get fired just because you ask questions? (Maybe they want dumb people who just follows them) If yes for all the above then you are good to go. Otherwise my ˘SUGGESTION WOULD BE NEVER EVER JOIN THIS COMPANY EVEN IF YOU ARE LAID OFF AND IN DESPERATE NEED OF JOB. P.S. I was let go with few others once the project they hired us for was over.
