I like the pay and the fact that I am working at Amazon

I dislike the way interns are treated. They are usually ignored and projects can vary a lot depending on the team. Most of the times the teams just throw a project at you without any idea of how they will be able to help when asked.

High pay, lots of other ambitious people, good career opportunities.

Dislikes

High pressure, your experience is heavily team-dependent, lack of WLB, lack of benefits, bad stock vesting schedule, some bad managers

Work Life balance is very bad. They expect to work all the time. No company culture. People aren't friendly and expect to do work without any help which is disgusting. They even tried to make game hour on Fridays but people weren't "fun", maybe because too much work, so they scrapped it. Same for knowledge sharing sessions on Friday.

The salary structure is good.

Dislikes

You wont get any appreciation even if you work day and night. They expect 200% out of you and even if you give your 200%, you won't get any appreciation because that is what is expected. If you are performing good, that is average according to them and you will always be told to raise the bar. Job security is very less. But it always depends on the team.

The office is great and you have best in industry compensation.

Dislikes

Worst work life balance. The managers have to ask you to work at least 10 hrs a day and the work 12. Your performance is measured against the team so if everyone is working 12 hours and you can work 8 you will always be the bottom performer. Promotions are project based so if your.projects gets halted for any reason not you own so does your promotion.
