The work-life balance is okay-ish. You get to learn a lot about how not to manage your employees and how not to run a workplace or business. As an introvert, one thing I loved is that we never had to go out for site-visits.

Dislikes

...om poor, arrogant, and bad clients. You have to take the blame for his mistakes. You will never get your salary in time. There are too many changing deadlines which is exhausting. The owner is also a micro-manager.

Likes

Job security: Yes, there is job security. Work culture: Not a lot of work, so there's a lot of time for you to develop your skills. Company policies: This is a small company, so not many policies, unless you count coming on time a policy. Good for someone who's just starting their career. The boss explains things in a calm way. No screaming.

Dislikes

Not a lot of work. So there's a tendency to be lazy. The boss is always saying he'll pay up the remaining amount that he didn't pay during the second wave of COVID. Also there was no handwash or sanitizer available during the second wave of COVID. We had to work on-site during COVID. Also very strict timing to come to office but when leaving if there is any clients present you cannot leave until the client leaves. Lying and manipulative boss. Also the boss is always complaining about his employees to his clients, vendors, contractors etc. Also being a junior architect I expected at least a few site visits. The boss doesn't let you do any site visits saying there is nothing happening on the site.

Dislikes

Salary was never on time. We weren't paid during the second COVID wave for three months. Reason given was client hadn't paid. The boss used to call after office hours about work. We never got time off without some complaining from the boss even when we were sick. Taking Saturday and Monday off was never allowed.
