The salary is good compared to other similar industries

The Work Life balance is horrible. The Treatment some of them receive from their peers is very bad. at times its verbal abuse.4 The French guys who come as Expat to India act like they own the company and the Indian people in the office, they don't carry a humble body language, empathy and many things, this makes the environment very toxic.

Likes

The job security is high. Sometimes, international trips but now the company will make you sign a bond that you will return the trip money if you leave within one year.

...portation for several years, and I'd like to share my feedback on the company: Stagnant Salaries: The company offers limited salary growth, even for those managing large teams and working weekends. Salaries around 11-12 Lakhs are common, making it difficult to live a decent life. Lack of Career Progression: Advancing beyond a certain salary level within the company is incredibly challenging. This lack of upward mobility is frustrating for employees. High Attrition: Many employees, including myself, joined Alstom Transportation attracted by its brand name as GET in 2016. However, due to poor salaries, approximately 95% of my cohort from 2016 GET batch has left. The niche nature of the work also makes switching jobs difficult. The company knows that your skills are not useful outside and hence, exploits this factor to keep wages low. Financial Struggles: Working in Bangalore with over a decade of experience for just around 10-13L salary is financially straining. After deducting expenses, savings becomes nearly impossible, making it hard to maintain a decent standard of living. I strongly recommend individuals to seek better opportunities to explore other options. Alstom Transportation may not be the best choice for those aiming for financial stability and career growth.

Good ambiance, Nice work environment and culture. Teammates are greatly supportive. Company policies are good and appraisals are fair

Dislikes

A lot of politics run in the background of third party employee. Salary hike is moderate and this makes you feel unworthy.

...their education and can derail one's career. No job security. Hike is around 5%. Variable pay on an average is 60%. Too much internal politics and favoritism. Managers here have a good work life balance. They will log off at 5pm, are allowed to take maximum wfh but team members are asked to sit till late in office and come daily. Worst company ever.

In this role I had very good work life balance and got lot of learnings. I was never worried about getting lynched from company as Railways is a very stable business.

Dislikes

The salary's were never on par with industry. Tendency is to not to promote and there is no long term vision. And the promotions are never based on the skill/merit but based on who cries loud.
