There is a lot of politics. And the management doesn't address. Our issues salary is decent but career growth is slow . there are bond of 2 years before which you cannot reging on the job training is not given to new joinees

Being a public sector undertaking, job security is totally assured. The compensation and benefits are one of the best in the industry and nothing is lacking. The work culture needs to be immensely improved and needs better leadership at all levels. There needs to be more focus on HR development as all development programs are targeted only at a higher level and not at the lower-level employees.

Dislikes

There was a lack of staff development. Too much of bureaucracy and red-tapism

Dislikes

...te existing workers and join new workers who are their relatives or closing one. Wages are no work no pay basis i.e. Saturday, Sunday and other holidays are not payable. Girls or women are always preferable in this organisation. This opinion is according to my point of view and specially for Kolkata Airport. Other Airports may be different.

I am hired on contract basis, so there is kind of partiality for us contract basis employees. The pro is work life balance. There is ample amount of government holidays you can get and if you want personal leave it is easy to avail and it also depend on which department you are working.

...efit. Being government organisation they only care for their employees not us. There is no guarantee of receiving salary on time. Sometimes it takes 2 to 3 months to receive salary. If you can manage with delayed salary than you can join this organisation but you can crack exam and join as a permanent employee thats literally lottery

... on Job security at AAI, people do not get fired until involved in malpractices. Your PMS only affect ur bonus not ur salary. Promotion is on basis of vacancies and placement. So if there is no vacancy in the promotional level, then it doesn't matter how good performer u r, u ll not be promoted. Work culture is good, it gives u belonging mess to the company. Medical facilities at AAI is one of the best as it do not have any upper cap for your treatment. At AAI, the company provide options for holiday homes where u can have ur Me-time. Moreover the company provide Education loan, Vehicle Loan, House Building Loan, Computer loan to its employees.

Dislikes

The career progression in AAI is not good as that should be performance centric as well as vacancies should be there at the promotional level to accomodate the below level. AAI do not provide transportation facilities to its employees and the canteen facility is chargeable. The company does not provide Furniture loan to its employee as provided by CIL.
