Well it all depends on site management, Basically Ahluwalia is good company but poor site management makes it bad by unhealthy work timmings but job security is there..but if run through good site management.

Salary packages and benefits must be satisfactory to compensate for the staff time and efforts Mostly deploy less staff and work timmings is also issue.

Likes

Brand Name, Opportunity to implement ideas, Improvement of Self Confidence, Exposure to different departments: working of the industry, Supportive Seniors and Higher Management.

Dislikes

Appraisal not completely based on Performance, No proper project monitoring by Regional Office, Low Compensation, Not proper contracts team, Not proper planning team, weak financial planning, weak procurement team, inside politics, not balanced task/work distribution.

1. No appointment Letter/Salary Breakup even after 3 months 2. Gross discrepancies of responsibilities Committed vs actual at site 3. Unprofessional, no work culture. Create your own mail id to do official work. No induction process. 4. Site management extremely abusive, use filthy languages with everyone as if this is the culture of organization. Used to throw papers/files on employee's face if found unsatisfactory 5. Doesn't not show minimum respect to elderly staff if he is of lower designation 6. No clear Mediclaim policy. Employee has to pay premium to get reimbursement 7. All Sundays working till 5..pm 8. Leave will be denied and salary would be deducted 9. Mess facilities horrible. You have to cook your own food after coming back from site at 10.pm everyday. However senior manager is there to look after cleanliness of toilets 10. New joinee would be insulted by a simple sentence (Isko kuch nehi malum/How much donation you had paid) 11. Very poor knowledge of item rates, contract, claims 12. No work life balance

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base. As a result, I get to travel abroad, especially to the US and Canada. But on-site travel is completely dependent on your project and client’s location. Mine is a US based client and they have some offices in Toronto, hence I got a B1 visa quickly. Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. I also like the employee re-hire policy

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is g to the night. growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals’ unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times. I do receive appreciation emails from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a pain sometimes.

...hallenges. Being financially strong is the another plus point of the company. Even appraisal, good salary in comparison of whole market. Finaly we can say that Ahluwalia contracts is a good employer with good financial and professional growth for the employer.
