Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Nothing. Its a toxic place to work. Seniors and management ill treat faculty. Dont pay the entire salary after leaving the college with notice period served.

Dislikes

They run college like business. Give false hopes to poor students and get them enrolled. Later students dont even receive offer letters

Currently I am working as lecturer in polytechnic Civil engineering department. There is no workload over faculties and I have enough time for enhancing my skills.

Dislikes

Higher authority take time to overcome the problem related to faculties and other important activities related to institute.

ABSS is my college and didn't got any placement from there. ABSS is good but I feel they do not have much contact with recruiters or Companies so they are seriously bad with placements. It's so long I don't know how they are doing now.

Dislikes

Professionalism is less than expected.
