An NGO that tries to work like a corporate has built in too many processes that sometimes hinder real work, especially for staff who are only action oriented. However, staff is adequately trained and are able to work around such minor hurdles. Lack of stable, professional HR. WTI really needs to amp up its salary structure for non conservation roles, (finance, marketing, HR, communication) as a higher pay elsewhere leads to high attrition in such roles....Read More

The kind of transparency that should ideally exist, is missing. The organization is too tangled up in being a corporate and hence unable to achieve the best of neither being that nor being a not-for profit organization

Likes

Good work environment and culture. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are goo, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 4 years before which you cannot resign. on the job training os not given to new joinees.

Work Details

The job is quite interesting! I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.

Occassionally senior management gets carried away with inexperienced new comers. Salary is decent but career growth is slow.
