This company is a great platform for learning. They have customers like isro, drdo, Navy who provides orders of rockets, Satellite launching vehicles, rocket launchers and many more. This enhances our skills and knowledge to next level.

Dislikes

No growth. Appraisals happen once in 3 years and that too with 1000-1100 rs. Traveling opportunities depends on your job profile but after traveling they don't sanction our bills asking for why your breakfast was so costly. Internal politics is at peak position and seniors always try to save themselves by adding your name in lay-offs</mark>. Lay-offs happen once in every 2 years. So environment in the company has become so negative that anybody who enters in the organization leaves it with very bad emotions. And lastly.. their notice period is of 3 months. They won't make it less in any case. Even if you are ready to pay the amount they will not let you leave. This can also cause your next opportunity to miss or you end up leaving company without serving notice period and they will terminate you....Read More

I was in production department. So my work was to achieve sale targets by complete manufacturing of jobs. The workforce here is having a huge set of skills. Jobs were having very tight tolerances and made up of very stringent materials.

The best thing was learning and gaining experience. Got to work on the most critical jobs in aerospace segments. Direct contact with senior scientists from ISRO & DRDO.

Dislikes

Worst work culture. Company doesn't give salaries on time (gives half salary after two or three months) and this is happening most of the times from last 7 years. Management literally tortures workers and for that puts pressure on Production engineers (pressure is given only for torturing people. Not for production increase)le="background-color: #fff5e4;">. Very high and destructive politics</mark>. Negligible increments or promotions. Starting salary was 10k and after 5 years salary was 13k. This happened to everyone that time. I get to learn a lot in WIL and that too on very critical jobs. But this was the only good thing. Salary, increments, work life balance, on time salaries, politics, policies, culture were worst. WORST.

As a result, I get to travel RDE, BARC, DRDO etc. Accommodation facility is great in WIL. Technical knowledge is strong base for WIL. Always will be proud to work in such great company. Internal politics is very bad. Some set of people are trying to rule and misleading the top management. Some people are not ready to adapt changes and hence WIL becoming slow/costly than competitors. Very worst HR policies. HR don't care about employees. Very honest and technically strong set of employees had to leave because of these self centered people that is affecting the work culture of WIL. Someone needs to focus on greatness of company and wellness of their employees....Read More

My work is to prepare and check the drawings required for shop and to get approval from customer. All inputs study and preparation of required specs for project. Communication customer was regular about challenges we came across during project execution
