I have started working here in January. After some times I started working from my own place as the lockdown was started in India. The place where I am living has a lot of network problem. Often while doing the office work, I used to be unavailable on phone in the starting. and the only reason for this was that there were genuine network problems. I conveyed the same to the management. In the pandemic time, the management was really understanding. They fully cooperated with me and allowed me reimbursement of my all internet expenses as I had to get a new wifi dongle installed at my place....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
