I get to train and learn plenty of topics which are relevant for my knowledge base and future career progression.

Dislikes

1) Poor HR experience. For any small issues which can be resolved by contacting the local HR directly via teams or outlook email, the HR directs us to ask that query on askHR. The askHR portal does not assigns any HR for the issue immediately. I have got responses after 13 days or so after raising the tickets on askHR which actuallydefeats the purpose of quick resolution. 2) Work from Office Policy: I have been regularly coming to office since past 3 months for 3days/week as per my manager's request. But, even in June, other teams members are not at all coming to the office. Our work can be completed from home but the policy should be same for one and all. 3) There are poor cafeteria facilities in the UL office. Biscuits are opened from their packs and stored in a PLASTIC container. I was at least expecting UL to provide good Coffee machines, good quality Coffee/Tea/Milk and other beverages for its employees. 4) There are no entertainment or monthly/quarterly team outings/dinner which happens in every other companies. 5) Promotions are very much delayed. A person with 3 years of experience and a fresher work at the same designation (though the pay-scale may be different) which is not good for an employee's mental satisfaction. Also, most importantly, I don't understand why the designations are same for fresher's who join UL with a Bachelor's degree and the one's joining UL with a Master's degree in India. Obtaining Master's/Ph.d requires a lot of hard work and consistency, and this should be rewarded so to say in terms of their pay and designation at the time of joining....Read More
