It’s a joint venture between TATA Power and government of Odisha. Work life balance is good. They will not compel you to work after office hour. You will get sufficient number of public holiday and other leaves as per company policy. No one restrict you while going for leave unless until there will be some emergency. As TATA Power has share more than 50% , so they have control on the company. TATA has taken over this company on 2021, standardisation has been already started but still need to improve. As its joint venture between Govt of Odisha and TATA, there is no control over existing government employees. Previous unions are still have strength to create unpleasant situation. There is no uniform standards in employee structure. You will not get office dignity if you are a lateral employee.Site office infrastructure is very poor. As it is a DISCOM, it’s distributed over vast area, so HR will be disconnected after your joining. You will find rare employee engagement programs, sometimes happening but through online. They don't have a pay slab for employees. With same grade one is paid 1500000 and one is paid 450000 it's very poor . Even this time they given hikes to random employees with 40% hikes without irrespective of the PM's rating. If the HR department will follow the ethics of tata power 50% then the employee will never leave this company.
