Don't go as a fresher. If they say intership leads to Placements it won't happen. They recruit so many interns and kick everyone of them out. They recruit all them to get tax benefits to their company.

Working from home is tough but Xperi(previously TiVo) is very supportive from most of the aspects. Management takes care of the needs that we have before we even ask for it. They are even ready to go out of the box in needed cases which I like cause it gives a sense that company is not that strictly bound by it's rules. I am glad tohave such supportive team mates. There have been very less complaints like politics in few people. Management tries and takes care of it before it actually reaches to the employee and effect them but being a less employee's company it is never hidden from you even if it is not effecting you.

Excessive politics. No employee grievance forum. Managers are always right no matter what. Afraid to use latest technologies. Not much scope for learning or career growth.

1) Work environment is great 2) You get great rewards for filing patents. 3) Salary/Appraisal you get what you deserve so if you are good you'll good appraisals. 4) Managers helps you to grow as a person so you don't only grow as an engineer you grow as a great person as well. 5) You get good rewards for referring people. so that's great. 6) You get easy approvals for tuition fee of your higher studies. Obviously you can not avoid work for your higher studies but in case you want to study along with your work then you'll get help in paying your tuition fee from TiVo and I find it awesome. 7) You get free and good quality food for break fast, lunch and evening snacks. 8) There is no work restriction that you are assigned to this module so you'll not get access to another module. If you are willing to work on different module then just pick it up and people will help you understanding that. Obviously you can not avoid your current assigned tasks just because you want to work on something else. It does not matter how good the company or managers are there always will be some people who would like to politics. I do not like that part. If you know how to avoid politics at work place(No one knows this though) then TiVo is great company.
