Beware of this company. It's a company run by some cheaters and imposters. There are almost more than 100 cases pending against this company before different forums and almost 99% of the said cases have been filed by its ex-employees against the company for realisation either of their salaries or gratuities or provident funds. The management of this company is such type of scoundrels that they won't give the retirement benefits to any of its ex-employees unless and until they file a case against them before the appropriate forum and get a suitable order in favour of them. Those scoundrels won't give you, your legitimate dues even after the order is passed for giving you your legal dues. You could practically like nothing in a dying newspaper. The Statesman is nothing that its brand conveys. It is now a flickering lamp in the winds of uncertainty. Terrible people running the company and even more downtrodden is their work ethics.

Work ethics: terrible to-the-power infinity. They will make you work and simply disappear without payments. After all, that is what you expect from a dying newspaper! Culture: Authoritarianism backed by favouritism: one person runs the company, virtually. The chelas of that person are second-in-authority. Talent goes for a toss anda choking hierarchy rules the game. Credibility: The Statesman hardly authors and produces its own content; the so-called newsroom simply runs by republishing stories from news wires such as IANS, ANI and the republication alliance it is in. No creativity, no credibility of journalism---you will get the same news in a dozen of other publication. Payments: ask any employee, the paper is exploitative at best. Terribly under-standard payments that too if you manage to get one...in most cases you will be cheated! Rude: employee are rude to newcomers, perhaps because they're threatened from the upgraded talents new employees bring to the table and their small internal bubble of hierarchy is at stake...
