Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.

There is no job security, worst and cheap mentality management, not even a single star this company deserves. All ur original documents will be taken and u have sign a bond. If u break bond, management demands 1L rupees.

Not a single employee benefits. You have to work for 12-14 hours a day for very low salary. Not even a single penny extra is given for over time. Working here is like a high school. U can't look either side or talk to others while working. Bucket team leads and tech managers. U'll be terminated during hike every year and management hires freshers for low salary and the cycle continues. Please don't spoil ur life by joining this cheap mentality company...Read More
