Likes

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are very supportive and management is transparent. There is a cafeteria and gaming zones for chilling. Company policy are good, appraisal are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is lot of politics. There is monetary bond for a year.

Work Details

The job is quite interesting! I struggle a bit in the beginning. I learnt everything on the job.

Work days: Rotational Shift (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
