Singareni Company site where the STEAG have taken O&M concerned only about profit. It's been almost 3 years since my batchmates have joined nothing really we have developed by self. Also ratings given by your manager will be based on regionalism vice versa your promotion. Technical knowledge won't gain you credits for your appraisal. So everything based on the regionalism, how good you're with your manager (like laughing for his jokes, partying with him, clapping your hands for him, etc), how active you're in your appraisal period, etc. Your appraisal will be only meagre percentage. No extra duty will be paid or leave will be credited. No managerial traits starting from your deputy manager to General manager. For freshers you will be wasting your career by joining in this organisation. If you have the non technical skill and someone you know working in the higher position you can grantedly join the organisation (NOTE: It's not applicable to all STEAG sites, since I haven't been to other sites of this companies. So it's not ethical to give bad reviews overall to the company). Work life balance is poor from my experience . We have done unit overhauling for 12 hours working time continuously for 30 days, neither compensation for the work like free food, leave credits for OT, paid OT nor any credible increments....Read More

Work-Life balance is excellent here esp. if you are a female employee. Also there is job security which is rare in a MNC.

Dislikes

Politics - a lot of politics. And work environment is bad, you wont learn anything here, so no career growth. Salary in general is below industry standards. No innovation.
