I joined the company trusting the brand Sony but found it otherwise.

Dislikes

This is purely a service based organization, so do not confuse it as a product company. The role I was hired for and the role I was given when I joined were 180 degree opposite. Work life balance is a big issue here and you are expected to be online at 8 AM and also at 10 PM. Sony Japan and Sony US treats it as a vendor. It is only dependent on some redundant work given by the so called customers and hence quality of work is a big question here....Read More

Work Details

Work life for me was really hectic. It affected my mental health as there were no clear goals and customer expectations was too high. The management here badly failed to explain my role to me and also the colleagues here were not at all cooperative.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Work culture is very good and you will have great work-life balance. Very attractive employee benefits.

Dislikes

Career growth, Some times you will be stuck and not sure where to go. If you get good manager, they will plan for your career other wise they will blame for not picking up things. There is always an expectation beyond the project work.

Its great pleasure to work with Sony. One who has clear idea about their career path can excel at Sony. Management encourages every one in all the ways. Great place to work if you are an experienced and want to go in moderate speed.

If you looking for work life balance then it is good company. You will get opportunities to travel to Japan as short term, annual events are good.

Dislikes

Though it is a brand and mnc company Compensation and salary is very low compare to competitor company. Annual rating and hike rating are not open and not fair. There is some politics. Need to improve on it. Company need to improve on policy and technical development.
