Focus on safety can sometimes be excessive and not really warranted in some situations which will lead to delays in work. Flat structure in organisation implies normal career growth ( fast growth is very difficult unless positions open up). It is challenging in some ways because we need to look at minute details and find the root of problem. But some groups have very repetitive and monotonous work. There are some very exciting projects but others can be underwhelming. It is a mixed bag.
