Great training ground for anyone looking to learn how not to run a company

Working at Shieldbyte Infosec was one of the worst professional experiences I’ve ever had. Here’s a list of reasons why no one should consider joining this place: 1. They hired a so-called "manager" (Mrunal Patil) who came from an incident response background and knew nothing about ISMS audits. Instead of learning or taking responsibility, he messed things up constantly, and the team took the heat for his mistakes. We got scolded for things that weren’t even in our control because management has no clue how to manage. 2. The CEO is a nightmare, plain and simple. She spreads herself too thin, dipping her hands in everything from audits to sales, and ends up doing a lousy job at all of it. If she decides you’re wrong, it doesn’t matter what you did or how well you did it—she’s going to yell at you to show her authority. It’s an ego trip, not leadership. 3. HR is a joke. One person runs the department, and they act like a tyrant. You can’t even use your phone when there’s no work, can’t study or do anything to improve yourself, and they monitor you on CCTV all day. It feels more like a prison than a workplace. 4. They expect us to work hard and deal with all their garbage policies while paying peanuts. 5. The air conditioning is so bad that it’s uncomfortable year-round. Add cockroaches everywhere, even in the water dispenser, and it’s a recipe for health issues. The place is disgusting. 6. They make employees travel in their uncomfortable, cramped Eeco van to different cities, with a “budget” of just 350 rupees to cover meals for the entire day. It’s just pure torture. 7. After you leave, they come after you for money, claiming breach of contract, even if you served your time. It’s like they’ll find any excuse to take your hard-earned money. 8. I've had the unfortunate experience of working at this company, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. 1. The CEO knows nothing about cybersecurity, which is alarming given the industry's importance in today's digital age. This lack of expertise trickles down, causing significant operational inefficiencies and leaving the companyvulnerable to security threats. 2. The HR team is the worst I have ever encountered. They are unresponsive, unhelpful, and often dismissive of employee concerns. Their lack of support contributes to the overall toxic environment. 3. The company culture is incredibly toxic. There is constant micromanagement, with supervisors keeping a close eye on employees, leaving no room for trust or autonomy. 4. There is no room for flexibility in this company. Employees are not allowed to talk on the phone during work hours, and the timing is strictly monitored. Any deviation is met with harsh penalties. 5. The physical working environment is appalling. There are cockroaches everywhere, and the air conditioning rarely works, making it an uncomfortable and unsanitary place to work. 6. The company does not care about its employees at all. There are no holidays, and the management does not show any concern for work-life balance or employee well-being.
