Likes

Team work is good. Lot of time and opportunities for self-growth and improvements in Academia. Regular CME's twice a week. Supporting environment in colleagues of different departments as well. All and all, stable and above average.

Dislikes

There is not much guidance for future prospects, while working, so it kind of remains a self-exploration sector.

Work Details

It's stale, the routine. Not much happening, yet, CME's and colleague chemistry keeps the dice rolling.

Work days: Monday to Saturday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
