Team mates; because everyone shares mutual hatred for the Chief Editor

Work-life balance is a myth at Offshoot and Digital Publishing Deptt. They have a type; they mostly hire editors with little or no experience and harass them. The Chief Editor and the Senior Project Manager both are really rude. In short, they leave no stone turned to make your life a living hell. The Chief Editor is highly intolerant; fires everyone she doesn't agree with. Especially those who have the courage to tell her that she can't be shouting and speaking ill all the time. My time there made me realize that one ought to keep their self-respect at home before coming to the workplace. I know my friends had started going to therapy sessions for the torture they went through at the workplace. Highly impractical deadlines, disturbing work timings; working there till midnight is very common for the employees of Offshoot and Digital. And if that isn't enough, they would call you to work on Saturdays as well (with an officially demeaning email sent out on a Friday; when people already have plans for the next day). They made people go and pick their systems on the first day of Delhi lockdown and threatened to fire them if they refused to go. Haven't given appraisals to people for more than 3 years now. I was new in the industry and was given plenty of learning possibilities. Ratna Sagar provided the best start to my career. I was there for nearly 3 years and discovered my writing potential here. My team lead was always there to guide me through the sticky spots. Really my base has been created by Ratna Sagar and for that ill forever be grateful. So apart from work, another thing which I now realize is the transparency in the policies.... Had a really good induction upon joining. HR was really nice and easy to talk especially when a curious mind like mine has a million questions upon joining. Another good part is that salary is on time... And yes unlimited tea :D Last, this is a 5 day working, so that's one of my favorites thing about here So ill tell you the bad parts too Work pressure is just too much....and sometimes deadlines are arduous... You do get scolded roughly at times They are a bit too stringent on the attendance timing...(will deduct if you exceed the punch in by a minute) The seating is a little too cramped.... But overall it's a good place to work and I would be happy if I get to go back again...Read More
