QCI is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India. QCI hires candidates via two channels - permanent and contractual. QCI has made a reputation for itself in the last one decade due to the inception of a new division - PPID (Project Planning and Implementation Division). 1 - Lack of Standardisation/arbitrariness - Being a young division that grew too quickly, one can have contradictory experience depending on a) Project Manager: Some PMs are great and cultivate a learning environment while others are crazy idiots. b) Projects - few projects involve very interesting strategy and consulting assignments, while few are monotonous BPO work. c) Location & Clients - Project in Project Management Units can be stressful and extend late into the night. 2) Toothless HR 3) Laughable leave policy - only 12 a year, and that too accrued monthly. For eg: In February, you'll have only 2 leaves, and a 3rd will get added to your account on Mar 1. This way you may have to wait till June to accumulate 6 leaves before taking a week off....Read More
