Good company. As a teacher I got great exposure and experience. I love my subject planning team as they are prolific people with great knowledge and experience. Love working with them.

Dislikes

They do need to work on competitive salary package for teachers. Too much work due to staff shortage and micromanagement. Also the alot of amendments are required to improve the portal work and teacher facilities like amount of regularisation and leave policies, etc. Working hrs starts from 7:45 till 4:00pm

Orchids give preference for only women. I worked as an Admission Counselor for 1.6 years in Orchids. Interview process was so easy in Orchids. If I want to explain my experience in Orchids it was good. Every company has its own advantages and disadvantages. Compared to other schools or Ed tech companies, Orchids is The best. I worked before in some Ed- tech there they won't give any training. So here in orchids it's not like that, orchids has a people who will train counselors, only problem in orchids is people who stay for longer period in branch will show seniority more, they will not entertain new joinee to learn at all. Apart from that the pressure is so much, the pressure is only admission pressure, and also it depends on which branch we are working for, if it is branches like BTM, VIJAYANAGAR, HORAMAVU, MYSORE ROAD This branches are stress less. branches like nagarbhavi is very headache. Incentives are also there based on admission so it is nice to work there. Problem is no growth here designation wil not be changed no career growth at all in orchids. And admission pressure is also too much, if we don't to the admission after 3 weeks they will remove if there is no improvement from admission Counsellor. So before joining think and join which branch you are joining for. Sunday working is compulsory and no government holidays. They say they will be giving on rotational based but they won't give. They'll make you stay back for no reason at all. There's no work-life balance. No appraisal. It's hell for teachers here. Their policy changes every day!! They'll make you work even on national holidays without any extra pay or comp-off! Beware!!

I have several concerns that have led to my decision to resign from Orchids the international School. 1) Unilateral Changes to Job responsibilities - My role has been changed without my consent, and I've been assigned counselling work without relevant training or background. 2) Unrealistic workload and expectations- I've been tasked with completing incomplete data within an unrealistic timeframe without support, and I'm Expected to work late hours, Including Sunday's and Holiday's. 3) Disregards for employee well- being- The management has shown a lack of concern for my mental and physical health, expecting me to work despite health issues. 4) Unfair treatment and inaccurate accusations- I was marked Leave without pay(LWP) for not reading whatsapp messages where i was busy was with given tasked. 5) Company is only adding roles and responsibilities day by day not while increment hike they give 3-5% only. after giving 10hours to company. 6) lack of support and grievance redressal- My grievances have been ignored, I've received no Support or response from the management. Orchids gives a good syallabus and teaching aid, structure, curriculum plan to teachers which is beneficial.

Dislikes

No professionalism, any given time work can aride and employee is obliged to do that. Irrelevant work request, eg- Theatre teacher is asked to teach English and public speaking at times maths too.No salary raise, no bonuses, no performance evaluation based increments. And very poor approach by human relations department.

When i've joined everything was smooth only front desk work I need to do but later on they've mde School a CALL CENTRE.

Pathetic work culture & very bad Management. Bad increment after giving whole 1year they only increase 1000rs of your salary.Every week they made new policy which you have to accept weather you're comfortable or not.Those people who are working their since 4 years they don't respect and give appreciate but for new employees they give good salary 3 times better salary and so many more things.

Everything, neither the culture is good nor the academics. Out of 91+ branches I think no branch is affiliated with any board. They don't have knowledge of any board. They are just running random schools on lease. They will shut down any branch any time without a single thought of students or employees also They will open any branchwithout any planning. Everything is bad, they just hire you for their season time and in off season they will just call you and say tomorrow is your last day, shameless people, poor managers, poor owners, poor management overall worst company to join, no payback for your hard work. They just treat employees as working machine. Such companies will never grow.
